Le gospel fait partie de la même famille que le blues. Quand on joue du blues, le gospel en est l’âme, et le blues en est la réalité — celle d’une souffrance née d’une époque où les restrictions étaient bien plus fortes qu’aujourd’hui.
Le gospel et le blues sont des musiques qui ont révolutionné la musique moderne et qui ont donné un sens profond à l’humanité, nous permettant de vivre ensemble dans la fraternité, l’amour et la paix.
C’est ainsi que je vois ces deux styles, qui se marient parfaitement. C’est pourquoi j’ai créé deux chœurs de gospel parallèlement à mes tournées avec mon frère Ice B. Ensemble, nous présentons notre nouveau spectacle intitulé « Peace, Love and Blues ».
Cela fait plus de 35 ans que je chante le blues et le gospel sans jamais perdre cet émerveillement, et j’apprends chaque jour que ce style est intemporel.
J’ai créé mon premier chœur de gospel à Fribourg en 2007 avec les Fri-Gospel Singers. Nous étions seulement 8 chanteurs au début, et aujourd’hui nous sommes presque 50 ! En 2025, j’ai créé un deuxième chœur, les Free Gospel Singers à Gruissan en France, qui compte actuellement près de 30 chanteurs.
Mon rêve est de les réunir pour offrir un grand concert avec mes deux chœurs, afin de toucher votre âme et votre cœur.
Je ne connais pas le solfège et j’enseigne uniquement à l’écoute. Je transforme les chants en leur donnant une couleur plus blues, et je compose également pour mes chanteurs.
Le plus important n’est pas de bouger parfaitement ou de faire des chorégraphies impeccables, mais que chaque personne se sente à l’aise et libre de s’exprimer.
Je suis un directeur exigeant mais humain. J’accueille tout le monde dans mes chœurs : l’essentiel est d’être heureux de chanter, sans pression. La chorégraphie passe après le chant.
Je ne chante jamais un morceau de la même manière, car je veux que tout reste vivant et émotionnel dans l’instant.
C’est aussi un formidable vivier de solistes ! Cette année, des chanteuses et chanteurs viennent des quatre coins de la Suisse et de la France pour chanter avec nous, et cela me rend très heureux.
Le gospel et le blues s’unissent pour vous offrir des moments de partage et de vie. Cette musique ne mourra jamais tant que nous garderons l’esprit, l’âme et surtout le respect de nos ancêtres, qui ont souffert mais ont continué à chanter, même dans les moments les plus difficiles.

Gospel belongs to the same family as the blues. When we play the blues, gospel is its soul, and the blues is its reality — born from a time of suffering, when restrictions were far stronger than they are today.
Gospel and blues are musical styles that have revolutionized modern music and given deep meaning to humanity, allowing us to live together in brotherhood, love, and peace.
This is how I see these two styles — perfectly united. That’s why I created two gospel choirs alongside my tours with my brother Ice B. Together, we present our new show titled “Peace, Love and Blues.”
For over 35 years, I’ve been singing blues and gospel without ever losing that sense of wonder, and every day I realize how timeless this music truly is.
I founded my first gospel choir in Fribourg in 2007 with the Fri-Gospel Singers. We started with only 8 singers, and today we are nearly 50! In 2025, I created a second choir, the Free Gospel Singers in Gruissan, France, which now includes nearly 30 singers.
My dream is to bring both choirs together for a great concert, to touch your soul and your heart.
I don’t read music — I teach entirely by ear. I transform songs by giving them a more bluesy feel, and I also compose for my singers.
The most important thing is not perfect movement or choreography, but that everyone feels comfortable and free to express themselves.
I am a demanding but human director. Everyone is welcome in my choirs — what matters most is being happy to sing, without pressure. Choreography comes after singing.
I never sing a song the same way twice, because I want everything to stay alive and emotional in the moment.
It is also an incredible breeding ground for soloists! This year, singers are coming from all over Switzerland and France to sing with us, and that makes me very happy.
Gospel and blues come together to offer you moments of sharing and life. This music will never die as long as we preserve its spirit, its soul, and above all, respect for our ancestors who suffered but continued to sing, even in the hardest times.

Gospel gehört zur gleichen Familie wie der Blues. Wenn wir Blues spielen, ist Gospel seine Seele, und der Blues ist seine Realität — entstanden aus einer Zeit des Leidens, in der die Einschränkungen viel stärker waren als heute.
Gospel und Blues sind Musikstile, die die moderne Musik revolutioniert und der Menschheit eine tiefere Bedeutung gegeben haben, sodass wir in Brüderlichkeit, Liebe und Frieden zusammenleben können.
So sehe ich diese beiden Stile, die perfekt zusammenpassen. Deshalb habe ich zwei Gospelchöre gegründet, parallel zu meinen Tourneen mit meinem Bruder Ice B. Gemeinsam präsentieren wir unsere neue Show „Peace, Love and Blues“.
Seit über 35 Jahren singe ich Blues und Gospel, ohne jemals die Begeisterung zu verlieren, und ich lerne jeden Tag, dass diese Musik zeitlos ist.
Meinen ersten Gospelchor habe ich 2007 in Freiburg mit den Fri-Gospel Singers gegründet. Am Anfang waren wir nur 8 Sänger, heute sind wir fast 50! Im Jahr 2025 habe ich einen zweiten Chor gegründet, die Free Gospel Singers in Gruissan (Frankreich), die derzeit fast 30 Sänger zählen.
Mein Traum ist es, beide Chöre zu vereinen und ein großes Konzert zu geben, um eure Seele und euer Herz zu berühren.
Ich kann keine Noten lesen und unterrichte ausschließlich nach Gehör. Ich verleihe den Liedern eine stärkere Blues-Farbe und komponiere auch für meine Sänger.
Das Wichtigste ist nicht perfekte Bewegung oder Choreografie, sondern dass sich jeder wohlfühlt und frei ausdrücken kann.
Ich bin ein anspruchsvoller, aber menschlicher Leiter. Jeder ist willkommen — das Wichtigste ist, mit Freude zu singen, ohne Druck. Die Choreografie kommt nach dem Gesang.
Ich singe ein Lied nie zweimal gleich, weil ich möchte, dass alles im Moment lebendig und emotional bleibt.
Es ist auch ein großartiger Nährboden für Solisten! Dieses Jahr kommen Sängerinnen und Sänger aus der ganzen Schweiz und aus Frankreich, um mit uns zu singen — und das macht mich sehr glücklich.
Gospel und Blues vereinen sich, um euch Momente des Teilens und des Lebens zu schenken. Diese Musik wird niemals sterben, solange wir ihren Geist, ihre Seele und vor allem den Respekt vor unseren Vorfahren bewahren, die gelitten haben, aber trotzdem weitergesungen haben — selbst in den schwierigsten Zeiten.
